Tus Tomb of Ferdowsi, Iran, Art Print

Ferdowsi is the towering figure of Persian literature, the poet who spent over thirty years composing the Shahnameh, the Book of Kings, an epic of 60,000 verses that preserved the Persian language and national identity through centuries of foreign rule. He was born and buried in Tus, near Mashhad in Khorasan Province, and his mausoleum stands as one of Iran's most revered cultural monuments. Designed by Iranian architect Hooshang Seyhoun and inaugurated in 1934, the structure draws on ancient Persian architectural forms: a colonnaded stone facade inscribed with verses from the Shahnameh, rising in stepped tiers above a landscaped garden. This print captures the mausoleum in quiet grandeur, its warm stone columns and carved inscriptions set against a soft, misty sky.

This is not a traditional watercolor painting; it is a premium art print with a watercolor-inspired aesthetic.
